Indian Culture Change
Date Added: October 26, 2007 11:17:26 PMBeing the seventh largest country in the world, India has a very rich culture which has undergone evolution and change like no other civilization in the world. It has absorbed ideas, traditions and customs from invaders and immigrants in an unbiased way to become what it is today. India being the birthplace of various religions like Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism and Sikhism has thoroughly influenced the lifestyles of people living in the south East Asia and the rest of the world to a very large extent. With its many geographical barriers, different cultures in the country have varied lifestyles and customs. The religions and traditions exiting in the land also contribute to this diversity.
The Indian culture reflects itself in all the aspects of living in the country. The performing arts, visual arts, literature, sports, clothing, languages, cuisines, religions etc are all areas that have been molded and created according to the Indian culture. No other country in the world has as many people practicing these many religions and speaking as many languages as India. Even though the country as a whole is a culturally diverse entity having various territorial barriers there is a fine line of unity running through the country that holds all these cultures together to make it a very large community of people who has compassion for each other.
