The term “Arts” refers to culinary arts, language arts, performing arts, visual arts and physical arts. Ancient Greek art was related to animal form and the skills to show beauty, poise, musculature and anatomically right proportions. Ancient Roman art showed Gods as ideal humans with distinguishing characteristics. In Byzantine and Gothic arts, there was an emphasis on biblical truths.
Architecture is about the art and science of designing structures. It may mean town planning, urban design or sometimes furniture. Culinary art is related to cooking. It involves preparing meals that are delicious to the tongue as well as to the eye. Dance is the movement of the body as per the rhythm and the music. It is a form of expression, social interaction or may have a spiritual setting. Decorative arts include works in ceramic, textile, metal, glass or wood. These arts are opposite to the fine arts like photography, drawing and painting. Decorative arts are fixed (wallpaper) or moveable (lamps).
Design is related to the fields of engineering, architecture, applied arts and other creative works. The aesthetic, functional and other aspects are considered by research, modeling, thought and interactive adjustment. Drawing is the use of instruments like graphite pencils, pen and ink, markers, pastels, chalk, charcoals, crayons etc. to create a two dimensional medium.
Fashion indicates a personal mode of expression, generally about clothes. The term is synonymous with style, glamour and beauty. Film refers to the motion picture industry, in which it is possible to record images with cameras or animation techniques or special effects. Language means a system of auditory, visual or tactile symbols used for communication. Human language is the solitary example of this phenomenon. Literature refers to a group of written works that can be grouped by subject, language, location origin or cultural standards. In the West, the fundamental literature types are poetry, prose, fiction and non-fiction.
