The climate here is generally warm or hot. The country is often stricken by annual monsoon rains and subsequent flooding.
Bangladesh is located on low lying land. The geography of the land indicates that most of the country is about 12 meters above the sea level. The country is in constant danger of flooding and being submerged by sea waters.

Bangladesh earns foreign trade through agricultural produce of rice, tea and mustard. In the manufactured goods, the garment industry is a major player in the country’s economy.
The cuisine for the ordinary people comprises mainly of fish and rice. There are many dishes which share resemblances to the Indian cuisine because of the influences from India.
As the majority of the population are Muslims, the major holidays are the religious festivals in the Muslim calendar.
