Croatia shares its borders with Hungary and Slovenia, Herzegovina and Bosnia, Montenegro and Serbia. Croatia is located in Central Europe. It is also estimated that the number of Croats living in Croatia is equivalent to the number of Croats living abroad.

Croatia has a long history. Its history dates back to thirteen centuries. During this long history, the country has procured many cities and monuments .Another notable feature is that three Nobel Prize winners also come from Croatia. It is also a home to numerous inventors. Croatia pioneered the art of fountain pens. Some of the earliest fountain pens belong to Croatia. Croatia also has a long history of clothing, especially the necktie (carvat).

According to the European Union reports, Croatia has a stable economy. In South Eastern Europe it is the most advanced economy. During summertime the tourism industry contributes significant income towards the economy. Croatia also happens to be a popular tourist destination and ranks 18th on the popularity charts. The economy in Croatia is service based. Service sector accounts for 67% of the total GDP.
