Czech Republic
The Czech Republic is landlocked country in central Europe & has membership of European Union. The country has borders with Poland to north, Germany to northwest & west, Austria to south and Slovakia to east. Capital Prague is largest city, a major tourist destination. Countries population is 10.3 million spread on 78866 sq.kms. Official language is Czech & currency is Czech koruna.
Czech has temperate, continental climate with relatively hot summers & cold, cloudy winters, usually with snow. Rains occur in summer. The Czech along with Estonia has one of the most non-religious populations.
The Czech was a seedbed for many acclaimed film directors. Most of movies won academy awards of best foreign language film. Barrandov studio is one the famous in the region called Hollywood of east International film festival for children & youth is arranged periodically.
The Czech has developed economy with GDP per capita around 80% of the European Union average. It is on the path of recovery from recession period mid 1999 getting stability with prosperity. Exports to European coupled with foreign investments have contributed to growth. Sectors like banking, telecommunication, and energy privatization are encouraged for foreign investments.
