Hungary
Hungary is a country in the Central Europe sharing border with Austria, Ukraine, Slovakia, Serbia, and Slovenia. The capital is Budapest. It’s a member state of European Union. The total land area comprises of 93,030 sq. km. and estimated population according to 2007 census is 10,064,000. The country is divided into two by main waterway: the Danube. Lake Heviz, largest thermal lake of the world is situated in Hungary. Climate type is continental with cloudy, cold winters and warm, hot summers. The average rainfall is 600 millimeters approx yearly.
The traditional folk music is famous amongst the Hungarians. Hungarian is the official language. Goulash, a traditional dish flavor with paprika is the main attraction of Hungarian diet. Pork and beef are found to be their favorite. It is famous for mathematics education and many inventions such as noiseless match, krypton electric bulb, ballpoint pen, theory of hydrogen bomb, basic programming language and holography. Hungarians feel proud towards their contributions to science. Football is the popular sport but apart from it water sports are also famous.
Hungary starts improving the economic growth as the new member of European Union. Over 80% of GDP is considered by the private sector. Reform measures includes tax reform, health care and government financing are addressed. Unemployment has been on rise in the previous years. The government has decided to go for euro currency in 2010 to 2014.
