Netherlands
The Netherlands is a part of the Kingdom of Netherlands and is located in Western Europe. It is surrounded North Sea, Belgium and Germany. It is a constitutional monarchy which is often called Holland. It is a member of the European Union, OECD and NATO. It is host to four of the International courts namely the International Court of Justice, the Permanent court of Arbitration, the International Criminal Court and the International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia. It also hosts Europol and is known as the legal capital of the world.
The Netherlands is a secular country where less than 20% of the people visit the church regularly. Many well known painters of the world are from Netherlands. Famous painters like Piet Mondriaan and Vincent van Gogh are from this country. Nethherlands also has the credit of being the country of philosophers and laureates from the world of literature.
The economy of Netherlands is open and prosperous. Food processing, chemicals, petroleum refining and electrical machinery are the predominant industries of the country. One of the largest natural gas fields of the world is situated in Slochteren. The Netherlands boasts of having the 16th largest economy in the world and holds 10th rank in per capita GDP. The country has low inflation and high employment rate.
