Russia
Known as the Russian Federation, Russia is a transcontinental country extending over much of northern Eurasia. Russia by far is the largest country in the world covering almost twice the total area of the next largest country Canada. It has enormous mineral and energy resources. The Traditional Russian cuisine is an important part of Russian national culture. It is one of the most popular and widely spread in the world.
Russian Literature is known to be among the most influential literature in the world. It has a rich literacy history which began with the poet Alexander Pushkin followed by great novelist like Leo Tolstoy. Russia is a large and culturally diverse country with dozens of ethnic groups having their own folk music. It also has a reversed and recognized tradition of ballet. Famous works of ballet include the Swan Lake. Russian filming came into prominence after the 1917 revolution.
Russia has the largest known natural gas reserves of any state on Earth, the second largest in coal reserves and the eight largest in oil reserves. Thus Russia is well ahead of most other resource rich countries in its economic development. The macroeconomic performance of Russia in recent years has been impressive. It was high oil prices and large capital inflows which made the success growth possible.
