Mexico
Estados Unidos Mexicanos or in short Mexico is located in North America. Mexico is surrounded by the United States of America in the North, the south and west of Mexico is covered by the North Pacific where as the Gulf of Mexico makes up the east boarder. As Mexico covers an area of nearly 2 million square kilometer it is the fifth largest state in the America. Mexico City is the capital of Mexico along with other major cities. The land of Mexico features various categories of high lands and low lands as the are classified into uplands, hilly area, tablelands, coastal regions and also waste land or deserts. The country is warm and sultry throughout the year in the coastal regions where as the uplands are comparatively dry. However this region becomes very cold in the months between December to February.
Being ranked 11th in the world in terms of population the country has a population of 103 million according to 2006 census. A number of religions, tribes, races and castes are a part of the nations cultural heritage. Apart from various ethnicities like Mestizo, the Amerindian and white people the Mestezo make up the major portion of population. Most of the people are Roman Catholics and the basic languae spoken is Spanish and English along with other languages. As the nation of Mexico has a diverse culture, ‘Pluricultural nation’ is its cultural name.
