Nicaragua

Nicaragua was once considered as the member of the Provincias Unidas Del Centro de America and the nation regained its independence on 30th April 1838. The Republic of Nicaragua is a democratic republican nation that is located in the central zone of America. The western region of the nation is surrounded by Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea makes up the eastern border of Nicaragua. The northern and southern boarder of the nation is covered up by Honduras and Costa Rica respectively. Nicaragua is covered by various uplands and lowlands as there are also two major lakes housed by Nicaragua. The lowlands in the country relatively dry in summer months but they also receive heavy rainfalls from May to November.

The approximate population of Nicaragua in 2006 was nearly 5,570129. There are ethnic groups like Amerindian or Mestizo people that make up the most population in Nicaragua apart from black and white people. Spanish is the official language spoken in the nation as there are other languages like Miskito and English. The culture in Nicaragua is a mixture of various traditions and cultures of different tribes and races. Dance and music are the two main vital parts of the Nicaraguan culture. Although Roman Catholic makes up the most population the other religions followed are Evangelical and Episcopal.
