Saint Martin
Situated in the Caribbean Sea on the northeast side, Saint Martin is an island in tropical region. The island with area of about 87 sq. km, is roughly divided between Netherland and France. The southern part of Saint Martin belongs to Netherland Antilles. The northern part of the island belongs to France. Each side has principal towns namely Marigot on the French side and Phillipsburg on the Dutch side. The population on the total island is around 85000. The island is covered with exotic tropical forests.
As a tropical island the place features variety of religion. The southern side is famous for festivals and fairs. The place is famous for exotic alcoholic drinks such as guava-berry liquors. There are large numbers of casinos present in Dutch side. The northern side is famous for cloths, lip smacking Indian- Caribbean and French cuisine and shopping centers. Both the places house number of exotic beaches.
The economy in Saint Martin is mainly dependant on tourism. Due to the enormous number of enchanting beaches and easy accessibility to the island, tourism is growing in Saint Martin. Princess Juliana international Airport is the principal terminal on the island. On the northern side of the island, Grand Case Airport is present. Due to increasing tourism, several side businesses such as hotels, resorts, car rentals, tourists guide and restaurants are also immerging.
