Hydrosphere can be described as the collective mass of water found on, under, and over the surface of the planet.

Hydrosphere can be explained as the combined and accumulated water found under, over and on the planet surface. This includes the oceans, rivers, lakes, and even the moisture in the air. The hydrosphere is essential to all life in the solar-system.
Almost 71% earth surface is covered by saltwater of oceans and ninety seven percentage of it is being sea-water & three percentages is fresh water. Most of its fresh water becomes ground water held in soils and rocks about 1% of it occurs in rivers & lakes.
Regarding formation of hydrosphere on the earth there are several theories. The planet has proportionately more surface water than compare with the inner solar system. The water cycle in the Earth’s hydrosphere allows for the purification of salt-water into fresh-water.
The water-cycle expresses the ways of transfer of water in layers of hydrosphere. The combination of water’s salinity and temperature determines whether it ascend to the plane, descend to the base, or settles at some transitional depth. Warm water is denser than cold water similarly salty water is denser than fresh water. It is effortless to see motion in rivers and stream but in lake and ponds it is difficult to define the motion.
