Mathematicians

Mathematicians have always been regarded as different from the normal man. They are considered to be different. They can always be seen lost in their own little world. There is no doubt that the majority of the people who go for mathematics have a higher intelligent quotient. They are regarded as ingenuous people. Sofia Kovalevskaya once said “It is impossible to be a mathematician without being a poet in soul.”

The beauty of mathematics is that it keeps on presenting problems for mathematicians to solve. And new achievements in mathematics have continued at a seemingly exponential rate. Another advantage that mathematicians have is that their contemporaries from other fields such as astronomy, physics, chemistry, economics and computer sciences have to rely on them for some of the solutions to their issues. Even Elbert Einstein, the most notable scientist of the twentieth century was a mathematician at heart.

Modern day mathematicians have continued to solve the day to day problems. Extensive research is being carried out in game maths, in study of sound and shock waves. Andrew Wiles, in 1994 put forward proof of the Fermat’s theorem. The modern day mathematicians continue to describe and find patterns and find proofs for theorems.
