Meteorites

Meteorites are natural object, which generally originate in the outer space and come in impact with the earth’s surface and sustain the impact. The important thing about meteorites is that when they are in outer space they are known as meteoroid. Meteoroids enter the earth atmosphere as fireballs. This is because when the rocky bolder like object called meteoroid enters the earths atmosphere the air resistance of the earth heats up the celestial body and fire is generated. Thus they enter as fireballs and looks like shooting stars. There several term logy related to meteorites.

Few of the common term logy related to meteorites are bolide. This means the crash of an extraterritorial body on earth which looks like a fireball and irrespective of the fact that it ultimately impacts the earth or not. Meteorites are like that source of light. Other terms related to meteorites are fall and find. Fall is the object out body found left after the meteorite crash. Find is when a meteorite is been accounted or located.

There are almost 31000 cases or specimens found all over the world of meteorites fall. More than 1000 cases are recorded almost in a span of every 2 years.
